vcenter_server_upgrade

We recently upgraded VCenter 5.0 to Update 2.  Tasks and Events indicated some hosts upgraded vcenter agent.  Is there any way to verify the agent version on those that didn't report an upgrade?

What version are the hosts? For 5.x hosts, no vpxa agent is pushed. The only ones which should have received the new vpxa version should have been 4.x hosts.

The hosts are 5.0.  The task was "Upgrade vCenter Agents on cluster hosts" and it showed completed.  The problem is, not all our hosts are in a cluster.  Is there documentation somewhere that says the agent is not updated when a vCenter update is applied?

Thanks,

Are the hosts that show the message in the cluster or not?  Perhaps the clustered hosts are receiving updates to the HA agent, whereas the standalone hosts wouldn't require it.

In addition, this KB article vaguely explains that "vpxa cannot be uninstalled on an ESXi 5.0 host as it is now a part of the esxi-base package. Therefore verifying the version and the uninstall/reinstall process does not apply to ESXi 5.0."
