vSphere syslog server in vCenter 6 appliance

Hello,

I have configured my VCSA and as a syslog server and my hosts are configured to send their logs to it as described below:

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=200332...

In the windows version of the syslog server I could see individual log files by browsing to a directory.  How do I view the logs when they're send to a VCSA?

Thanks.

Thanks for the link.  I think I have a better understanding of how this works now.  I have deployed the vRealize log insight virtual appliance and redirected all the log collection to that.

What I'm really not clear on is whether or not the vCenter 6 appliance is meant to be a syslog and crash dump collector.  I'm not sure I get it.

I get the impression it is not intended to be the final log collector location, but an intermediary.

For example ESXi host -> VCSA 6.0 -> external syslog collector.  The VCSA provides a handy central configuration point for syslog from hosts (or really any source device).
