vSphere Web Client SSL Certificate error (vCenter Appliance)

Hi,

I installed ESXi 5.5 and right after that i deployed the vCenter Appliance. After the configuration and a couple of reboots, i navigate to the web client and i get this error when i try to log-in :

"Based on the current configuration, the SSL certificate of the authentication server was not trusted."

I've so far googled everything on the topic, and aside from tutorials on how to change certificates in the Windows version of vCenter, nothing about the vCenter appliance. I was happy when i found the "Certificate regeneration enabled" checkbox, but that didn't help either. I can test the SSO settings succesfully in the vCenter control panel.

Anyone please?

Edit: I should also mention that i am not able to login to vCenter with the vSphere client. I get the "Cannot complete login due to incorrect user name or password". I am using administrator@vsphere.local as the username.

Have you tried this? VMware KB: Troubleshooting the vCenter Server Appliance with Single Sign-On login

That did the trick! Thanks Rommel!

In my case i only needed to disable the Certificate regeneration option. I can now log in to both the web client and via the vSphere client.

What if it's not an appliance? I'm running a windows vcenter and separate sso server.
