i try to monitor my ESXi license expiry using vCenter alarm definition on event type "license expiry".
I define an alarm in object vCenter as alarm type monitor "vCenter Server" and add a trigger event "license expiry" with condition "remaining days equal 60"- i define no explicit hosts so all hosts should be included.
As action i want to send email notification (email works fine for other alarms).
For some reasons this alarm is not triggered although some vSphere ESXi licenses reached the 60 remaining days. What is also strange is, that only operator which makes sense with "remaining days" condition is "equal to"- there is no "lower equal" or similar, only "start with", "ends with" ...
Dont know if i miss something here or this event monitoring is screwed up somehow- there is no corresponding definition available in objects datacenter or host directly.
Anyone tried this or has an idea?!
