vSphere 5.5 Flash Read Cache

Hi,

I have updated my vCenter to 5.5 and of course one of the interesting improvements is Flash Read Cache. I installed SSD drives and was able to see it in vSphere Web client and now need to assign space for flash read for virtual machines.

How would you go about assigning flash read cache value to the vms. I know that it offloads I/O to the SAN but not sure how to calculate the number in GB to actually input.

Does it depend on the machine vmdk size what kind of storage it accesses.

How would you calculate how much read cache to give to particular VM or it is try and error

Thanks a lot
