vSphere 5.1 With vCenter 5.1: Deploy a new VM from a Snapshot

So, per the title, is it possible to deploy a new VM from a VM's Snapshot?

What we did was snapshot at certain points of an application installation, OS patch, .Net patch, and finally a "Working" point in time snapshot.

We want to deploy a VM from the snapshot .Net Patch.

I know I can revert to a snap and cut a backup image and use that but I was wondering if it's possible to deploy from a snapshot.

Not from within vCenter.  There are a couple of tools I have found that claim to be able to do it, but nothing concrete.

Maybe http://www.jonathanmedd.net/2013/07/clone-a-vm-from-a-snapshot-using-powercli.html will do what you are looking for.
