Now In vSphere 6 if I migrate the compute resource of a vm I'm asked to select a portgroup why is that?  if migrating a a vm's compute resource and portgroup are not allowed at the same time why does the portgroup drop down menu appear when slecteing migrate compute only?

This is actually a new feature in vSphere 6.0 which is called Cross vSwitch vMotion.
