vCenter upgrade from 6.7 to 7.0 fails on Stage2

Hello

Recently I upgraded vCenter from 5.5 to 6.7; currently I am trying to upgrade it from 6.7 to 7.0. First step of upgrade, when new machine(7.0) is being created, goes through without any issues. Error appears during second step:

There are no network issues, machines are reachable from both sides.

Is there any way to upgrade it directly from the console and/or to skip importing historical data (this option was available when I was upgrading older version)?

On top of that after every failled upgrade, I cannot login into VMware Appliance Management on the source machine. The timeout occurs and have to apply this resolution: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/67179 to fix it.

So the source is Windows VC with postgres DB right??? And u r migrating from Windows to VCSA.
If yes please share pgpass.conf from C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\postgresql\pgpass.conf
If yes them pgpass.conf file is needed in that path.

Sorry for misunderstanding - my source is VCSA (and was from beginning - 5.5)

can you check   if this file exists and share if possible   cat /root/.pgpass.

Also the upgrade failure logs.

I did try with changing root password, adding static entries to DNS but still the very same issue occurs on Stage2. Any other ideas?
