vCenter upgrade 6.7 to 7.0U2

My current vCenter version is vCenter Server 6.7.0 U3m 17713310. We are planning to upgrade it to vCenter7U2.

From this KB link https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/67077 mention the back-in-time upgrade restriction.

I could see my current vCenter version not able to support any upgrade to vCenter7U2. How can I upgrade to vCenter7U2?

Hi Sweehan

I currently have the same issue as we updated our vCenters server appliances to fix the recent RCE vulnerability. From what I have read there is no current way to upgrade till there is a new vCenter 7.0 version released.

I have a SR open to see if there is any date for when this will be released.

Just got a response to my SR, the next release is planned for 24th August 2021 so will have to wait till then to do an upgrade to 7.0.

Thanks for the update. I inform the management, if can't wait then might have to install new vCenter and migrate the hosts to the newly build vCenter.
