vCenter tc Server

A bit confused on the vCenter tc Server.  Is it was is being used to host the vSphere Web Client, or can it be safely removed?

There are various components of vCenter that rely on tc, including the Web Client, Linked Mode, performance charts, etc.

To be sure, are you referring to "vCenter tc Server" or just simply tomcat in general?  I noticed while inventorying the installed programs there is a new program in the list called: "VMware vCenter Server - tc Server"

Guessing as a result of upgrading to 5.5, but I was not the installer so I'm wondering if the person installed it unintentionally or if it is in fact a dependency for such services as you mentioned above.

"VMware vCenter Server - tc Server" is only for virtual center server.Inventory service and SPS they also have their tomcat server.you can find tomcat server for them with respective folder(Inventor service and storage profile folder).
