vCenter doesn't start

Hi,

I inherited a two-node server with VMware. ESXi is installed on both node. On the first node there are vms running.  vCenter is installed on it too, but doesn't start. The error is:

[FALIED] Failed to start File System Check on /dev/log_vg/log

See 'systemctl...'

I get an emergency console, but with almost nothing. systemctl command doesn't exist there.

What can I do?

Thanks,

Tamas.

Thanks for your answer. I tried it for your advice. After I modified the boot parameters, and the system asks the root password, its behaviour is strange. I have to give the root password twice. After then I get an error message:

[ERROR]: Failed to connect to service.

And still cannot use commands.

Thanks,

Tamas.

Thanks. I don't remember whether the 'type shell' text was there or not, but I needed to type it for the shell. /bin/sh didn't work.

I repaired the filesystem, and then vCenter started.

Thanks,

Tamas.
