vCenter 6.5 with AD users within local groups. I have an issues I'm not sure how to fix.
I have a group that has only has "Allocate space" permissions on the datastore. When users in the group create a VM, during the Select Storage step there are no datastore to select. Clicking the "Disable Storage DRS for this virtual machine" cause the datastore to appear and unchecking is thereafter the datastores are still available. See screenshot prior to checking the checkbox:
A global Admin users shows the following during the Select storage (notice there is no "Disable Storage DRS for this virtual machine" checkbox and the datastore appear normally):
Are there additional permissions needed for the datastore to appear without action using the Datastore Default storage policy?
