vCenter Storage Views and Hardware tabs error

When clicking on the storage views tab in vCenter I am getting an "internal error has occured" and no information is displayed. Has any ony encountered this error?

What version of vCenter Server are you working with?

We found out that if we revert back to the orginal self signed cert that the 'storage views' and 'Hardware status' starts working again. We used the instructions provided by VMware to change out the self-signed cert with a new internal CA cert.
