vCenter Server Appliance default login no longer working?

Hi

We have had VCA 5.5.0.5201 installed and working fine for a while now. At some point within the last 24hrs the some reason the default root | vmware login now fails to work?

Domain creds for vClient still work, but we are unable to log into the actual Appliance itself.

Not quite sure what our options are, or why this has happened!

you may have hit the default root account expiration which is 90days.
