vCenter Linked Mode

Hi there,

I have two VCSA - 6.5u3 and 7.0.3. They are both Embedded PSCs.

I am however unable to create the link. I am getting the following error when running pre-check

Replication partner must be embedded vCenter Server node.
Failed to determine deployment type for the Node : vcsa-rmg.rmg.local. Please verify.

This is the command I am running from the VCSA 7 shell -

cmsso-util domain-repoint --mode pre-check --src-emb-admin administrator@vsphere.local --replication-partner-fqdn vcsa-rmg.rmg.local --replication-partner-admin administrator@vsphere.local --dest-domain-name rmg.local

Prerequisites

• Repointing is only supported with vCenter Server 6.7 Update 1 and later.
• You must repoint to a vCenter Server that is of the same version.
• To ensure no loss of data, take a file-based backup of each node before proceeding with repointing the vCenter Server.
