Hi guy,

I have one scenario need discussion and advice.

I have configure vCenter 6.5 HA. after configuration, it will have three server, active, passive and witness.

I have tried scenario fail witness and then fail Active. so the passive cannot take over to be active while witness and active down.

do you know any technique to make passive to be active by manually? i mean force it when it meet my scenario above.

The reason why three nodes are needed is to detect those failures, so if your primary and witness are down then you won't fail over. But they would both have to fail almost simultaneously for this to occur. To force the passive node into an online status you'd have to manually break vCHA. Just curious as to why this is a concern for you or what's your use case.
