vCenter HA Restart Priority (VM Overrides)

Hi All

Can someone confirm what would happen in the below instance. As im not 100% sure.

vCenter 6.7 u2

ESXi 6.7 u2

DRS Enabled (set to manual) Shortly to change to Auto low sensitivity.

HA Enabled.

Im being asked to have specific VMs NOT power on after a host failure.

So im assuming this is configured within the VM over-rides setting. Where the options are Highest \ High \ Medium \ Low \ Lowest \ Disabled

Would assigning "My ServerName" with a restart priority of Disabled mean, the server DOES NOT restart following a host failure but WILL still be moved to an alternate host (Under DRS)  ??

I only ask as Ive never yet used this setting, and id like some clarification. (and I thought id touched all aspects of vCenter)

Answers on a postcard.. Smiley Happy

Cheers all

Paul

Yes, by disabling the VM overrides VM will not be part of vSphere HA protected list.

DRS will work fine as HA and DRS are not dependent on each other.
