vCenter 7.x HTTP 405 Method Not Allowed

On 7.x vCenters getting Error as HTTP 405 Method Not Allowed when trying https://vcenterfqdn/lookupservice/sdk

Running vCenter Version: 7.0.3; Build:21290409

It is expected . What is the use case here ?

This used to be available in old versions and no more in use

We are using move-vm command from 6.5 to 7.x vCenter. The command errored out as below:

There was no endpoint listening at https://vcenterfqdn/lookupservice/sdk that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. 

Also, accessed the same URL from browser and the error is "HTTP 405 Method Not Allowed"

Appreciate any inputs!!

So you are trying to use PowerCLI to perform migration between vCenters, take into consideration that you need to connect to both vCenters to perform this, there is a good example at the end of this article:

Could you please check if what you are doing is similar or if it satisfies the requirements?
