vCenter 6.7 VCSA - changing DNS settings

We've current got a major issue where a primary DNS/Domain Controller has failed and seemingly due to this, hosts are randomly disconnecting from vCenter VCSA and we can't access the vCenter UI. It does not seem to be querying the secondary DNS server.

We have a call raised with VMware, but is it feasible to change the DNS settings? I can get to the appliance admin page, but when changing NIC settings I get this dire warning about the consequences (see attached image).

Would it be feasible to change just the DNS server settings without all these knock-on effects?

Its Common Window being displayed. just to be aware of the changes.

Since you are changing DNS only not the IP address there shouldn't be impact on vCenter. Just ensure that your DNS server resolves all ESXi host names or FQDN, NTP Server,etc...

Thanks, I suspected this but wanted to be sure - last thing I need right now is more problems!
