vCenter 5.5 Installation stops after SSO

Hi,

Just downloaded an eval copy of vCenter 5.5 and when I try to do a simple install nothing happens after SSO finishes. I tried this on 2012 and 2008 R2.I have to install the rest of the components (Inventory, vCenter, web) manually. In vCenter 5.1 all I had to do is hit the Install button from the Simple Install menu and everything worked great. Is this a know issue ? already ?

Certainly does not look to be a known issue .

Can you grab the vminst.log from %temp% folder and attach to the post for further analysis.,

Here it is. Ignore the server name, I just put vCenter on my SQL server so I don't have to power on another VM.

Hi Adrian,

You seem to be getting error 259 on line 630, when it can't get another product. It could just be timing out. Try the script timeout registry value from vSphere 5.5 Release Notes

Hope it helps

No, the script is not working, that's for the splash screen. I noticed the error that pops up but I closed the splash screen after the setup started and the error was not displayed anymore. From the article I've read that the installation might fail if you have an IP assigned trough DHCP, so I assigned the IP manually, but even then the installation was not performed.
