vCenter 5.1 vpxd taking up 100% CPU

Dear All,

The CPU is taking up almost 100% CPU. I have followed the KB VMware KB: CPU utilization of the vpxd.exe process on the vCenter server is constantly 100% for larg... but its not helping since in vCenter 5.1 I am unable to find those parameters:

/InventoryStats/VpxdCache/Nmspc='resConfig'/Evictions/Count/total 19568

the whole name space does not exist 'resConig' in vCenter 5.1. Any idea guys how to avoid this issue. Appreciate all the responses.

Hi Mustafa,

Thank you for your response but I don't see those events in the vpxd log file. I also viewed this article before and verified that those events do not exist.

Unless I am getting those events for performance monitoring in the logs I do not think there is any use of changing something on vCenter.

Appreciate your help and response.
