vCenter 5-0 and ESXi 5.1 compatibility

Quick question...

Is it safe to add a ESX 5.1 to a vCenter 5.0?

Do i need to do something special in vCenter.

Will this affect my current ESXi hosts?

That won't work. You need vCenter Server 5.1 in order to manage ESXi 5.1 hosts. See VMware Product Interoperability Matrixes
