vCSA 6.5 - How to install updates automatically?

Hello,

in previous versions of vCenter Server Appliance it was possible to install updates automatically: How to Configure Automatic Updates in vCenter Server Appliance -- Virtualization Review

In vCSA 6.5 I can't find that option anymore (see attached screenshot).

Is there a way to install updates automatically also in vCSA 6.5? Please no discussion if it's a good decision to do so or not to do.

VCSA would check for updates automatically, however we would have to Install the update manually by clicking on the option.

I knew that already, but thank you.

Anyone knows, why the helpful option "check & install" known from previous versions was removed??

Hi,

I do not see any difference, In both the version its installing the updates, all you need to reboot the appliance as per your schedule downtime to make the changes applied.

please check the your screen , it say updated already installed as the time you have mentioned, but you need to reboot.

I did make the screenshot after installing the update manually. I just wanted to show th available options. Sorry, my fault.

So there is still no way to update automatically?
