Hello
I can see that this question has been asked before, but with a solution that doenst quite answer my question.
Is it possible to mark a datastore as "unsuitable" for vCLS VMs?
We are using Veeam for backup, and this service regularly connects/disconnects a datastore for backup.
I have now seen several times that the vCLS VMs are selecting this datastore, and if I dont notice it, they of course become "unreachable" when the datastore is disconnected.
I know that you can migrate the VMs off of the datastore, but that implies that the datastore is connected. And I know that you can just unregister the vCLS and a new one appears... But it would be easier (and saving me a heartattack when recieving "HA failover in progress" mails) if they just wouldent use this datastore..
No this is not possible right now unfortunately. I have reported this already as an urgent request to the product team and hopefully it will be fixed soon.
Thank you.
I have had 3 cases with the VMware support regarding this problem, but they dont seem to (or wont) understand my question.
I hope a future update will address this.
