Hello everyone,
I need to upgrade my vSphere environment from 5.5 to 6.02
My infraestructure is as follow:
1 VCSA (inside on one of my hosts)
3 host (Blade HS22, HS22 and HS23)
27 virtual machines (9 per host)
*We could mantain my 27 VMs in 2 host.
*I have Enterprice Licencing
*I have enablee EVC Intel Nehalem
*I have enabled DRS and HA
What is the recommendation to perform the upgrade?
Thanks in advance.
You can upgrade your vCenter to version 6 and manage hosts from version 5.x and 6.x without problems.

The first step is upgrade your vCenter Server, take a look at the following KB article for best practices: Upgrading to vCenter Server 6.0 best practices (2109772) | VMware KB
After upgrade the vCenter to version 6.0 U2, before upgrade the hosts, check if they are supported by VMware to run version 6.0. I believe that only HS23 supports vSphere 6, the HS22 and HS22V supports only vSphere 5.5 Update 3, take a look here: VMware Compatibility Guide - System Search
For best practices in upgrade the hosts, see: Best practices to install or upgrade to VMware ESXi 6.0 (2109712) | VMware KB
Hi rcporto
You're right, It seems that HS22 doesn't support vSphere 6.
In this case, could I upgrade vCenter to Version 6 and mantain my ESXi as 5.5? or it is not recommendable?
Thanks in advance!
