snapshot removal takes more than 6 hours

Hello,

a little help is required here. I have this VM running on ESXi 6.0. when I take snaphot (without memory) it  gets completed in seconds. and although within couple of minutes if I try to remove this snapshot it takes more than 6 hours to get completed. can someone help me here ? Below are some more details:-

VM datastore size is 1.2 TB

ESXi version is 6.0 build 3825889

vmware snapshot size is 8-9 GB.

What device/hardware and configuration is backing this datastore? It's possible you're having very poor storage performance, especially poor random write performance. Look at performance graphs and latencies to see how the storage is doing before trying anything else.
