root Password is not accepting in ssh

Hi Team,

root password is accepting in Vami console and Direct console However is not accepting putty (ssh).

even i had reset root password but even new password is not accepting via SSH,

Could you please help.

Note: All automatic services are up and running.

Vcenter Version: 6.7.0.52000 ( Build 19300125 )

I saw such issues, which were caused by different keyboard locale mappings.

What you may do, is to enter the password in the user name field, to see whether it shows up as expected.

Did you check in VAMI that SSH connection is enabled?

VMware has rectified the issue by changing the value in  /etc/passwd
