rdm disk map windows

3 rdm disk is connected to windows virtual server and virtual server has c, d, e, f , g, h disks.   how can i find which rdm disk is inside windows.

vcenter : 6.5 u2

windows 2012 r2

  1. First, check the volume label in the windows disk management console of that VM (diskmgmt.msc)
  2. Then find the related disk device on the guest OS and check its attributes and information in device manager console (devmgmt.msc)
  3. At last, compare the related information with the disk attributes in the VM settings panel and fine which one is the RDM disk.

    BTW if you can find disk type of other VMDK files, you can simply guess the other one that is left, is your RDM disk.
