Hi Folks,

My goal is to run power cli script when alarm occurs. As far as i understand, we usually install power cli and put script on windows vcenter to run.

My environment is on vcenter appliance. In this case, how can i run power cli script for alarm action?

i cound not find any clue on web. Anyone knows?

regards,

Max

You need to put commands/scripts on vCenter appliance at specific path and then provide full path of scripts in Alarm configuration.

e.g. /opt/VMware/scirptname.x

However you can not run PowerCLI scripts on Linux.

You can run shell (.sh) or perl (.pl) scripts.
