hello

i have simple question if i created ofv file on vcenter 5.1 can i use it on vcneter 4 ?

From wat i understand this converter is for .vnx file and e.t.c but not for ovf file

Try this - https://cloud.skytap.com/docs/index.php/How_to_Convert_VM_Images_Using_VMware_Converter to convert the OVF, then use VMware Converter to import to vCenter 4

I will try to use it.

I have another question when i create vm i have vmx file(that contains all configuration of vm) right? and vmdk file (like hard disk...) where is operatig system is siitng and if iwant to create a tamplte with pre installed software where will they be my guees all sitting on vmdk am i right?

That is correct.  The VMDK is the hard disk of the vm.
