no-ssd warning on VM

Hi, in a Vcenter I get a warning under "storage" on a certain VM (theres no warning in other VMs under the same datastore - only on this one)

it's a server 2003 server and the warning states "no-ssd"

what does that mean?

Hi Gil,

Could you share a screenshot of the error you are seeing?

Also what is different in terms of host this VM ware set up as compared to another that does not have the warning. Also, are you using SSD storage in your environment?

Hi, I've attached a screenshot.

there is no difference in this host compared to others, moreover, the other VMs on the same host do not have that warning message.

No, we are not using SSD storage on our environment.

Thank you

Hi,

the Alarm and the non-SSD have nothing to do with each other.

The non-SSD just says your drive is not a SSD, which is correct as you stated.

The Alarm has a different reason. To see that double click the Datastore and click the Alarm Tab at the top. Here you will see the alarm that has triggered on that datastore ( like datastore almost full or something )
