Hi,
I´m using vCenter 5.1 Build 880146 with SQL-DB on an SQL2008 Std.Edition 64 Bit SP3.
We recognize, that our DB ( Filesize nearly 80 GB ) is growing very fast ( ~ 2 GB inside the DB per night ).
Log rentention in vcenter is set to 60 Days. And there is a large quantity of VPX_HISTS_STATx_xxx - Tables in SQL-DB ( 541 Tables )
Is this normal? We have a very big infrasturcture, but this was not recognized before we updated to 5.1..
Any ideas?
Thx in advance
Chakoe
Check the below KB's if not done

Even I had the same issues. Please have a look in the below thread.

Later on, we have deleted(I mean purging) the HISTS table in vCenter DB, then we could manage to bring the vCenter DB size to 8 GB.
