Yes, it is recommended to have them on the same version. AFAIK, different versions might work (such as during the time of upgrade) but not supported in a production environment.

Since in one of our site we use DL380G8(SiteB) and in the other site we use DL580G10(SiteA) thus could not install esxi 6.7 on siteB because it use old generation now want to know can i just upgrade my vcsa version to 6.7 without update esxi servers on siteB and install esxi 6.7 and vcsa 6.7 on siteB for use same vcsa Version to utilize ELM ?

Technically, vCenter 6.7 should be able to manage ESXi 6.5 and 6.0 hosts. However, I would recommend staying at 6.5 on both the sites. Unless, you want to use any of the new features introduced with vSphere 6.7.

Hi Baber,

Seems like the replication between the site is broken, but since it's a fresh install I am suspecting some issue during the installation.

Since new feature has been added to vsphere 6.7 (run ELM without external psc and external vCSA) is useful implement the second scenario ? because we just run second scenario for run 2 external PSC on each Site as HA

VMware is deprecating the external Platform Services Controller deployment. That means that in future releases there will be no longer an option for deploying external PSCs.

The reason is that with the release of vSphere 6.7 and 6.5 update 2, the embedded PSC now supports the enhanced linked mode (ELM) of vCenter. And all features and benefits of external PSC setups are also available in the embedded PSC in the meantime. This eliminates the need for complex external PSC setups with load balancers and additional nodes for the PSCs.

For this reason, I would now recommend using the embedded PSC and vCenter ELM for new implementations.
