I recently upgraded from vCenter 5.5 over Windows to vCSA 6.5. Now, the web client is translated to Spanish and I would like to have the option to be shown the interface in English mainly to resolve issues (with Google and support) when they appear.
If I try https://vcenter:9443/vsphere-client/?locale=en_US . The main menus of Web Client are displayed in English but the Tasks, Event... are still translated to Spanish.
However, If I use PowerShell/PowerCLI and I run Get-Task, Get-VIEvent... the output is in English not in Spanish.
- How could I see tasks, events... in Web Client in English not in Spanish?
- And less important, is it possible to change the locale for Powershell sessions or only English is supported in Powershell?
Thanks!
Christian
Hello,
Per default the vSphere Web Client will use the language definied in the operating system or in your webbrowser.
If you want to change it, just add the following localization parameter to the URL you use to start the Webclient:
to start the vSphere Web Client in English:
https://IP_of_vCenter:9443/vsphere-client/?locale=en_US
to start the vSphere Web Client in German:
https://IP_of_vCenter:9443/vsphere-client/?locale=de_DE
to start the vSphere Web Client in French:
https://IP_of_vCenter:9443/vsphere-client/?locale=fr_FR
