croos vmotion

I will install 7.0 u3 vcenter on the new infrastructure. I have virtual servers running on an old vcenter 6.7 windows server.  When I right-click on virtual servers in the vcenter 6.7 environments, the cross vmotion option does not appear. The two environments are running on different hardware. How can I migrate virtual servers in 6.7 environments on 7.0u3? I have read many different methods on the internet, but which one is the most suitable for the version?

The option was introduced in 7.0U1

Option 1
You can power off the VM and unregister it from 6.7 and register it in 7.0 environment

Option 2
Export as OVF and import it in 7.0

Option 3
Attach the existing 6.7 ESXi servers to the 7.0 vCenter and do a vMotion or migration - If they are in same subnet

Can't I use Cross vCenter Workload Migration Utility?  Is there any obstacle for me to use this tool?

Hi,

Option "Import VMs..." will be available on the destination VCenter (7.0) not source (6.7). Please follow the guide:

https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/7.0/com.vmware.vsphere.vcenterhost.doc/GUID-ED703E35-269C-...

Alternatively you can use this fling tool:
