copy ESXi boot image from USB to USB?

Can anyone point me to a document that describes a procedure to copy an existing bootable ESXi USB from one USB to another?

I am experiencing issues with a few 8GB USB flash drives that periodically disconnect from the host, and would like to replace them with new USB devices.

Is there an easy way to copy or clone them?

You can clone with dd (Linux) or USB Image Tool (Windows)
