clone high spec VM in vCenter 5.5 hosted with ESXi 5.1 Hosts in it

Hi i would like to clone  high spec VM in vCenter 5.5 hosted with ESXi 5.1 Hosts in it - (Cold clone)

VM spec 40 GB RAM

10 vCPUs

6 HDs of different sizes totaling about 1.9 TB split across 2 datastores

with dvPortGroup / dvSwitches configured in environment

Could you please advise on what sort of issues i need to consider before cloning this apart from the resources availability (assuming we got enough resources to accomodate this VM)

Since you will do an cold clone, one issue is the time that clone process will take to finish, but if the virtual machine downtime is not a problem for you, I think it is ok.... anyway, if you storage support VAAI (Clone Blocks/Full Copy/XCOPY) you will get an faster clone process time.
