cannot open the vsphere client using active directory login accounts

when trying to log into the vsphere client on the vcenter server using the active directory account fails with authorize exception error. i need to log into the vcenter to make changes to the hardware on one of the guest hosts. Is there a way to install vcenter on another pc to make the changes? I tried to also install the web client but it appears i do not have the admin@system-domain password. any thoughts?

Installing another instance of vCenter Server would require to migrate all the hosts and settings, so that might not be a good idea.

Did you already restart the vCenter Server (assuming you don't have other services running on it) to see whether this resolves the issue?

Assuming it's Windows based vCenter Server, did you check the Windows Event logs as well as the vCenter Server logs for any hints regarding the error?
