aix on vmware

Hello,

Would it be possible to run IBM AIX operating system on VMWare virtual machine? I found an older release https://www.vmware.com/support/vcm/doc/vcenter-configuration-manager-55-release-notes.html which says that AIX 7.1 is supported, but could not find any other resources on the internet to confirm so. Can anyone let me know if this is supported or not? If yes any pointers to what needs to be done to get it up and running would be helpful.

Thanks

Aman

AIX does not run on Intel x86/x64 chips so it would not be possible to create a VMware virtual machine with AIX as the guest OS.

The release notes that you refer to is about vCenter Configuration Manager (VCM) and it does not refer to creating VMs but merely being able to manage AIX machines from VCM.
