adding vCenter to Active directory

hello community

We should join our vCenter server to an active directory. Currently is the vCenter server configured as as standalone workgroup server.

We have several local users (Windows Server) and a lot of permissions set on vCenter folders. We also have some custom roles in vCenter.

Should we expcext any issue regarding this change?

best regards, Sven

Well adding vCenter to AD does not change any local user or vCenter permissions or vCenter roles. So techincally you should be good. Once on the domain I assume you will want to migrate your local users and this would require changing vCenter permissions and roles accordingly.

Hope this helps! === If you find this information useful, please award points for "correct" or "helpful". ===
