Windows server reboots after P2V

After completeing a p2v of a Windows 2003 Enterprise server if you do not logon to the server it will reboot after about 30 seconds, If you logon to the server it does not reboot as long as you stay logged in. Any ideas.

Welcome to the Community - What product are you using for the P2V? Pretty much all P2V products the last step of the P2V process is installation of VMware Tools which requires a reboot and I believe if you are logged will stop the reboot -

VM tools have been Installed. Services have been checked and NO services are set to Restart the Server on error.

Still installed hardware related drivers and/or services can cause several issues. Did you remove/uninstall those after the P2V? Do you see any entries (errors/warnings) which may be related to the reboot in the Windows event logs?

No errors in the Event log about the Reboot. All orphaned drivers have been uninstalled. All Hardware drivers have been uninstalled.
