What to update after resetting ESXi root password on hosts

Hello,

I have got 3 esxi hosts setup in a HA cluster with vCenter. I am wanting to change the esxi root password on those 3 hosts.

What do I need to do in vCenter after the password change to ensure things remain working?

Nothing, since the vCenter uses the user vpxuser to authenticate with the hosts.

right click hosts - disconnect from VC (dont remove from vc)

right click hosts - connect to VC

this will ask for the new password

enter new password
