What is the future of vCenter on Windows ?

I was wondering what is the vision of VMware about vCenter installed on Windows ? Should I expect to see vCenter for Windows a possible option for version vSphere 6... 7 ?

It is going away.  It was rumored by 6.0 it would be going away but now I'm not sure if that is still the plan or not.
