Virtual Machine Performance Issue

Hi Folks,

I have a virtual machine while deleting a snapshot of the server it is unreachable for 2 Ping request after that it starts pinging. Also the disk consolidation is not happening on the server. Below is the error log for Disk consolidation. Please let me know if there is a permanent fix.

Can you maybe attach the vmware.log for the VM when the issue is happening? Delete all FQDNs and IPs if you want to

Was the snapshot created by a backup application? In this case you may want to check whether the parent virtual disk is still locked by the backup application (e.g. mounted to a backup proxy, ...).

If you can confirm the files are not in use by other processes and you are using vCenter Server (from where you receive this error message), then use the vSphere Client to logon to the ESXi hosts directly and try to delete the snapshot from there to see whether this makes a difference.
