Virtual Center 5.1 and SSO

Hi all, I've come across a few posts regarding the installation of VIrtual Center 5.1 and SSO (Single Sign On) being a requirement. Is that true or is this an option? I will be setting up a new test environment where I will be doing different istallations of Virtual Center 5.1 but I just wnated to ask around.

vCenter SSO is now required now. i have set it up a few times and it is easy if you do a simple install. if you install on another DB server if is a little chanalinging.
