I have a physical Vcenter server that was on Server 2008 R2 64-Bit and I did an in-place upgrade to Server 2012 R2 64-Bit. After the upgrade VCenter is thoroughly hosed. It appears as if one of the underlying problems is with ADWS, giving errors that it cannot find a server certificate with the specified certificate name. Also, Net.TCP Port Sharing Service, Net.TCP Listener Adapter, and Net.Pipe Listener adapter will not start. Has anyone done this in-place upgrade or have any insight into what the upgrade did to hose VCenter?
