Vcenter 7.0 sps-runtime log is too big

Hi,

I've an issue LogDisk Exhaustion on vcenter.

In the Vcenter administration interface I have the LOG partition full.
As soon as I filter out the larger files in the Log partition I see that the file /vmware/vmware-sps/sps-runtime.log-0.stderr is very large.

What is the reason for the increased log in this file ?

How can I fix this ?

Which version is this, 7.0 vanilla or did you install an update pack?

just wipe the file from the commandline:

cat /dev/null > sps-runtime.log.stderr

this is the log file for the Policy Driven Storage by the way.

Thanks for the reply. If there are any IOFilters which are showing offline for any of the ESXi hosts in the environment.

https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/76633 - this Kb steps can be attempted and if you are not comfortable, please engage GSS.

thanks,
