This issue occurs when the local account password expires.

Note: In vCenter Server Appliance 5.5 and 6.0, the local account password expires after 90 days by default.

try below link to reset root password -

you couldn't initially login as root... When you have a single sign-on identity source configured, the vCenter Server can't find the root logon unless you use the format root@localos.

You could also face this issue if any of your VCSA partitions are full..

Check if any of the storage space is full on VCSA

You can check the below Kb articles

As you cannot login to VCSA via root, you have reboot the VCSA and go to the single user mode (use this KB VMware Knowledge Base ) and then instead of giving passwd command -> use the command df -h -> this shows the output of the free size space for the disk on VCSA. If it shows 100%, you can use the first kb. You can delete the audit.log file

Is it vCenter 6.0 or 6.5? Can you connect via thick client if its 6.0?

If its 6.5, can you check the http://<VCFQDN or IP>/ui to launch html5

Thanks,

vmware-eam is okay, I think eam.properties is blank or corrupted and needs to be raised a case with vmware support. From the error messages, if you disable and re enable HA on cluster, it should work fine after clearing the coredumps on /storage/core and clear old logs from /storage/logs.

Thanks,

MS

Hello Victorious,

You can disconnect the ESXi host, reconnect it and if it asks for username and password, kindly enter it and it should sync automatically.

Thanks,

MS
