VMware vSphere Update Manager had an unknown error. Check the events and log files for details.

Hi!

Recently updated vCenter from 5.0 to 5.1.

Previosly UpdateManager was installed on the same machine with vCenter. With update i've moved it to another machine.

Service syslog on hosts works fine and sends log to the vCenter (syslog installed there).

I don't now how to fix this, all  KB's doesn't helps.

This error appears when i am trying to scan HOST, scan VM completes fine.

I am receiving the same error also. An individual VM also scans fine.

Could you please share log file from below path ?

Windows XP, 2000, and 2003:

  C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VMware\Update Manager

  Windows 2008 and later operating systems:

  C:\ProgramData\VMware\VMware Update Manager\Logs\
