VMware vCenter Server Appliance shows Failed to configure network

I am trying to install vcenter and it is successfully installed. but i am not able to access through web. i am able to ping to the ip but i am not able to access through internet explorer.

Is there anyone who face the same issue and knows how to fix it?

Thank you,
Shaheed

Can you confirm that the prerequisites are met, e.g. proper DNS resolution (Forward and Reverse lookup)?

Hi,

Best I can find is to have set the DNS and Reverse DNS for your server BEFORE you run the install.

However, that did not work for me. I can ssh into the box and ping, lookup anything in my network but I still get the Network Failed to configure screen.

I'd be interested in your case if you get it to work.

Rgds,

Paul

Hi Andre,

I can confirm I had DNS and reverse DNS set before I ran the install. Can you give us any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Paul

I fixed my instance. I added the networking section to the template file and re-ran the instance.

Look at Table 6 and the full_conf.json template and just plug in everything. Be sure to use a FQDN

Worked for me anyway.
